Tortilla/Wrap Pizza

This is one of my go to meals, especially when I’m craving pizza but don’t want all the carbs and calories. While this is not a pizza, it is a good replacement to fulfill that pizza craving. You can put anything on it that you would make with a regular pizza. It may not look filling, but these pizzas/wraps can fill you up for quite a while. I usually have two of these at a time, depending on the size of the tortilla shells. I tend to use 8-inch tortilla shells, but you can use smaller or larger shells. If you want a pizza, have some pizza. There are times you just need to fulfill those cravings.

Ingredients:

  • 1 low-carb 6-inch tortilla shell (I use Mission or Aldi brand)
  • 1 – 2 tbsp pizza sauce
  • 1/4 cup low-moisture, skim mozzarella cheese
  • Sprinkle with Italian Seasoning to add flavor

Toppings:

  • Pepperoni (I use turkey), hamburger, bacon, sausage, spinach, tomatoes, etc.
  • Use what you like

Directions:

Preheat your oven or air fryer to 350 degrees. Put your tortilla shells on a baking sheet or air fryer rack. Cover with pizza sauce then sprinkle the cheese evenly over the shells. Add your toppings. If you use spinach, add it about halfway through the baking process. Add Italian seasoning on top. Put into the oven or air fryer for 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese melts and the shell gets crisp. Equipment varies, so keep an eye on it as it bakes.

As a wrap:

Lay the tortilla shell on a flat surface and spread the sauce in the center. Sprinkle the cheese evenly in the middle. Add your toppings and Italian seasoning. Wrap the tortillas. Bake in an air fryer of oven and follow the cooking directions above.
